Security camera installation

Practical camera setup for shops, warehouses, small offices, garages, storage areas, and homes where reliable coverage matters more than hidden designer cabling. Debugster helps plan camera angles, run sensible cable paths, connect recording equipment, and confirm live viewing works.

Best fit for

  • Warehouses and storage areas
  • Small shops and offices
  • Garages and workshops
  • Exterior home cameras
  • Existing camera systems that need troubleshooting
  • Practical coverage where visible conduit or surface cable is acceptable

Not a luxury hidden-wire install

Debugster focuses on practical surveillance that works: good angles, reliable recording, clean enough cable paths, and clear setup. If the job requires fishing wires through finished walls, drywall repair, painting, or a perfect designer finish, a dedicated low-voltage contractor may be a better fit.

Planning before drilling

Camera locations are planned around entrances, driveways, loading areas, counters, storage aisles, blind spots, and other useful views before holes are drilled.

Wiring and power considerations

PoE versus plug-in camera kits, cable routes, conduit or surface runs, power locations, and recorder placement are explained before the install starts.

Recorder, apps and viewing setup

Recorder setup, time sync, motion alerts, app access, remote viewing, and basic playback are checked so the system is actually usable after installation.

Troubleshooting and adjustments

Help with poor angles, night glare, dirty lenses, IR reflection, weak connections, recorder issues, app problems, and systems that were installed but never worked quite right.

Equipment realities

Bring-your-own camera kits are welcome when they make sense. Debugster can also help compare practical equipment options, but does not stock full commercial product lines.

What matters most

  1. 1

    Useful camera angles

Coverage is planned around what you actually need to see, not just where a camera is easiest to mount.

  2. 2

    Reliable recording

Recorder, storage, time settings, and playback are checked so footage is available when needed.

  3. 3

    Practical cabling

Cable paths are kept sensible and tidy where possible, with realistic expectations for warehouses, shops, garages, and existing buildings.

  4. 4

    Usable app access

Mobile viewing and basic playback are tested so the system is not just installed, but usable.

Recording rules and responsibility

Camera and audio recording rules vary by location and situation. Debugster can install and configure equipment, but does not provide legal advice. Confirm signage, audio recording, retention, and neighbor-facing camera rules with credible local sources when unsure.
